Licca Chan Castle

We visited Licca Chan castle for our daughter.

Licca Chan is a doll, or the Japanese version of the globally popular Barbie.

Licca Chan castle is actually a factory cum museum, where various versions and styles of the doll are on display.

The lesser known "family members" if Licca chan are also on display.

Young girls get to meet a “live” Licca Chan and pose for pictures with her. Girls can wear satin dresses and gowns like those of Licca Chan and feel like a doll themselves. There is a room with pretty pink furniture – apparently those of Licca Chan’s. There are miniature towns which seem to be a favourite with the little girls visiting the place.

Licca Chan dolls can be purchased with accessories and dresses, in a Do-It-Yourself style store cum activity centre.Licca Chan dolls dressed like young girls from other cultures are also on display and sale.

Visitors can also see Licca Chan production in progress from a viewing balcony.

As cute as it maybe, the place does not have much to offer when compared to Disneyland or San Rio Puroland.

  1. Hi, I'd like to ask if you're fluent in speaking Japanese? I really want to pay a visit in this place but I'm kinda hesitant because of the language barrier. I feel that it would lessen the enjoyment if I won't be able to communicate with the Licca Castle's crew. I'd like to know how did you manage to get around inside this place if it's alright. Thanks!

    1. I am still learning Japanese. I hardly spoke a few words in Japanese when we visited the place. Offcourse its easier if you are fluent in Japanese but not knowing Japanese is ok too ! Its all like a big museum and little girl stuff. So you wont need to communicate much with the staff. Hope u enjoy ur visit !
